Website Presentation

[ The link for the website can be found at the bottom of this post ]

To present the outcomes of the project in a professional and sleek manner, I chose to create a website for the "release" of the new line.

Sporting the "Your New Normal" tagline, the main opening page features a slideshow of a selection of images taken as part of the photoshoot stage of the campaign. Along the top are links to the other pages, such as the Lookbook and behind-the-scenes Production page that shows some of the notes and planning that went into the final outcomes. These links can also be found across the website in the form of buttons.

To the bottom of the page can be found a set of three small thumbnails that link to the short 10-second montage clips, as well as some general e-commerce features for an added sense of authenticity.

The cookbook opens up on a page with a brief description of the campaign, closely followed by the short film below. Below the short film is yet another slideshow with links to each set of photoshoots. On each of these pages there are a selection of the very best images taken from that stage of the project, displayed in a collage down and across the whole page.

Whilst the original plan was to create a virtual exhibition on the site Artsteps, I later decided to create a website instead due to technical issues with the previous idea. I feel, however, that this layout and design of a website truly represents the slick and premium aesthetic I desired for the brand image, whilst integrating the ironic "lazy" aesthetic of the fashion campaign.

I particularly like the high quality images and thumbnails used across the websites which provide a sense of sophistication and premium service were it a genuine brand. The use of a website has enabled me to bring my campaign to life, at a time where a physical in-person exhibition wasn't possible.

To help further the engagement of the virtual display, I have bridged the gap between real life and digital by creating a QR code that takes people directly to the website. This can then be printed and posted around to draw people in and explore the link.
