After a successful shoot for the first stage of content production, I had around little over 1000 files to sort through.
To ensure security over this large number of files, I backed them all up onto an external hard drive, as well as planning on backing up in-progress and export files to my OneDrive. In addition to this, a file sorting system was needed to categorise the different files into individual folders. This included test images, outfits 1 through to 4 etc, which can be seen in the screenshots below.
This process in itself took a couple of days to complete fully, separating the Raw files from the Jpegs, as well as removing all the outtakes.
The filing system utilises the organisational skills I have used throughout my studies, with files going in numerical order (01_FileName, 02_FileName), and ensuring back-ups are created in the event of user or technical error.
I have even used this system within the editing software, such as Lightroom, which utilises the Creative Cloud industry-level organisation tools to ensure productivity and a clear workspace.
